As part of the MRM team, the successful candidate will be results centric adding to our already ambitious yet exciting working environment supporting our mining operations. The ideal candidate will possess a background using Acquire and Leapfrog mining software.

Responsibilities:

Actively engaging in a strong safety culture, leading by example and commitment to site safety programs Monitor and optimize ore routing within the underground mine, utilizing assays, geological mapping, and DESWIK CAD software Oversee sample collection processes (Face/Muck), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery to the lab for analysis. Conduct geological mapping and sampling of active faces and underground exposures Compile, verify, and analyze drilling data, including assay results, downhole surveys, geology logging, and QAQC assessments. Support underground diamond and RC drilling operations, conducting drill rig and station inspections and validating total depths (TDs). Perform detailed geological logging of underground diamond core and RC chips, updating interpretations and compiling grade data using the Acquire database. Integrate mapping and assay data within DESWIK and/or Leapfrog mining software, ensuring correlation with existing geological models.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field required Excellent safety record required Ability to work within a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required Previous underground mine (or open pit) operations experience preferred Familiarity with logging diamond core and RC chips preferred Familiarity with Leapfrog and Acquire software preferred

About Nevada Gold Mines 

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018. Three of these assets are Tier One gold mines: Barrick’s Cortez; the combination of Barrick’s Goldstrike and Newmont Goldcorp’s Carlin; and the combination of Barrick’s Turquoise Ridge and Newmont Goldcorp’s Twin Creeks.
