Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Underground Training Mine General Supervisor to join our Carlin Safety, Health, and Training team. The successful candidate will engage with several key internal and external stakeholders to initiate and support safe and responsible mining operations.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the direct supervision, mentoring and coaching of Training Supervisors.Communicate, coach, and assist in the field to ensure safety and training expectations are understood and met.Participate in the oversight of production targets, mine plans and life of mine.Lead the safe implementation and execution of the mine plan through leadership, coaching, and compliance to the company’s standards, expectations, and local regulations.Ensure production outcomes result from safe work practices and in full cooperation with all other work groupsConduct regular performance review and professional development plans for team.Conduct regular task observations and course facilitation evaluations.Lead the standardization of divisional procedures, guidelines, and planned task observations.Collaborate with representatives across NGM to standardize procedures and training materials where commonality exists. Drive continuous improvement of established training materials and systems to ensure information is delivered in a manner that optimizes information retention.Direct the development and implementation of NGM Training Mine for respective division with the support and input from all NGM sites.Oversee training schedules for regulatory and site-specific training courses.Oversee training courses to ensure Competency Based Training compliance.Assist in the standardization and management of the training record storage and document control.Assist in the planning and scheduling of Annual Refresher Training for all employees. Participate in the development of site strategic training forecasting and objectives.Participate with alignment of site and regional initiatives or mandates.Present data and ideas to management in formal and non-formal settings.Use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions.Communicate effectively with operations and all levels of management to support and participate in the implementation of the Learning Management System (LMS).Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable regulations and standards to ensure compliance.Continuously improve, support, provide direction, and expand own knowledge and understanding of our Health, Safety and Training structure and programs.Perform Safety & Health on-call responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Demonstrates ability to analyze and confidently present data in a manner to promote ideas and opportunities to lead improvement preferred Minimum of five (5) years of underground mining experience requiredPreviously demonstrated experience related to leadership, training and Learning Management Systems requiredThorough knowledge of MSHA, State, and ATF regulations requiredProven attention to detail with a high level of accuracy requiredExcellent organizational, time management and office management skills to prioritize a heavy workload in a fast-paced, demanding environment requiredAbility to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently requiredDemonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills, with a courteous and pleasant customer service focus requiredAbility to hold others accountable and responsible requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills requiredCapability to multi-task, self-manage and self-motivate requiredAdvanced knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Visio) requiredDemonstrate and maintain good attendance and performance records requiredAbility to perform the essential functions of this role required
