The foundation of our communities’ model is the relationship that exists between the Anam Cara and the Elder. The Anam Cara is more than a friend or caregiver but someone who accepts the responsibility to care for the body, mind, and spirit of those in the community.
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Designee your responsibilities will include:
Assisting residents with daily living functions such as feeding, bathing, dressing, laundry, light housekeeping, and supportive daily care in accordance with the resident care plan.Medication administration-prepare and administer medications as directed.Escorting residents to and from meals, activities etc., when neededLife Enrichment-Activity, social interactions, spiritual and companionship. Will work in conjunction with community support staff engage elders in activities and social interactions to ensure quality of life.Proactively identify, develop and execute solutions to enhance the resident living experienceThe Anam Cara is expected to set high personal standards, demonstrate an unwavering commitment to integrity, and behave in a way that reflects the mission and values within our organization. You must have:
High School Diploma/GEDMinimum of one-year experience within a healthcare setting or as a caregiverPrevious experience working in assisted living or with the geriatric population preferredSuperior customer service skills and professionalismSelf-starter, highly motivated with a high productivity levelOur Commitment
