We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.
Experienced Caregiver/CompanionLocation: Madison, WISchedule: 6-8 hours per week Preferred days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays Preferred start time: 11am or later/end by 5pm.
Wage: $16.32 to $25.00 per hour -based on experience
Artist and smart, creative woman with a professional life in politics advocating for equality, needs a companion provider for activities a few times a week. This role is ideal for someone who not only understands the basics and nuances of dementia but also values connection, independence, and humor.
Key Responsibilities:• Provide warm, respectful companionship both at home and in the community• Offer gentle supervision while supporting safety and well-being• Encourage and assist with the woman’s hobbies and interests, promoting her independence without hovering• Help her maintain her abilities and routines to support her current baseline• Bring a sense of joy and laughter to daily interactions• Use your vehicle to take member on local community outings.
The Ideal Candidate Will:• Have experience working with individuals living with dementia• Be observant, patient, and respectful of boundaries• Possess excellent communication skills and a good sense of humor • Be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs and routines• Understand how to foster autonomy while providing appropriate support

This woman enjoys: Animals (cats, dogs, & horses) art, art history, creating art, shows and books about art history, Women artists, Feminist Artists, nature/being outside, and daily walks.
Tasks:Daily walk around the block Listen to the woman reads aloud Community outings: art museums, coffee shop, library, parks, Lake Wingra walking path
Requirements:18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GEDExperience working with people with dementia for at least 1 year Provider references verifying personal/professional experienceValid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, auto insurance(comprehensive), and a clean driving recordWilling to do a background checkFamily prefers FEMALE caregivers
