Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring Companion Caregivers to provide services to patients/clients in their places of residence.

Responsibilities:

Provides “hands off” care such as:Providing and encouraging socializationEncouraging a mild exercise programEncouraging medication compliance through timely reminders to take medicationsSupervising the safety of the patient/client when bathing, toileting, and dressingAssisting with grocery-shopping; and performing light housekeeping choresPerforms other duties as assigned/necessaryArrives at the client’s home on time and leaves when shift schedule is completePerforms all duties in an accurate and timely mannerSafeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions\"Hands on care\" include but are not limited to the following: Meal preparation, feeding, assistance with personal hygiene, and ambulation assistance

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years oldOne (1) year of experience as a Companion Care Homemaker/Companion Care Provider preferredAbility to carry out tasks in a professional manner and adhere to policies regarding professionalism and boundaries preferredMust demonstrate a compassionate nature and possess strong interpersonal skills preferredAbility to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills preferredProficiency in the English language is requiredComputer proficiency required
