HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER - REMOTE within Canada

 

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will collaborate to deliver operational Human Resources (HR) support while building strong business partnerships with leaders and trusting relationships with employees while modelling Western’s corporate culture.  

 

Here is what a typical day looks like

Promote and model our company culture, Guiding Principles and positive working relationships Partner with our business leaders to support people management, employee relations and performance objectives Partner with the business to provide leadership support in the areas of employee relations, wellness, engagement, succession and talent development Work with the business managers in workforce planning including collaboration with other areas of People & Culture with the development of role profiles and role evaluations Review and assist leaders with the annual review cycle, including merit and budget planning support Conduct workplace investigations when necessary, with support from your peer group Collaboratively work with the HR team to inform them of business issues/priorities and help formulate solutions, ensuring effective HR service delivery Partner with the business managers in the development and implementation of strategies that support the development, engagement and retention of employees Contribute and collaborate on the development of programs and services to meet business requirements Lead and assist in special projects as identified by HR goals or business initiatial

 

The value you bring

Relevant experience in Human Resources developed through progressive responsibilities and diverse projects  Strong knowledge of Employment Standards/Labour Law, Change Management, Employee Relations, Performance Improvement, Resource Planning Demonstrated understanding of the development and administration of large-scale projects, HR policies, practices and procedures Experience with immigration procedures, particularly related to work permits and visas is an asset Demonstrated understanding and adherence to strict confidentiality and privacy while displaying sound judgment always Excellent attention to detail; must demonstrate a sense of urgency and deliver quality outcomes  Post-secondary education in a related discipline, Certified Professional Human Resources (CPHR) designation an asset

 

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hour per week 
Location: Fully remote role within Canada

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
