Reporting to the Career Development (CD) Senior Manager within Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), the primary focus of this role is to facilitate an exceptional career development program for our senior consulting cohorts (Project Leaders, Principals and Partners). This includes upward and downward feedback management, ensuring effective Career Development Committee (CDC) meetings, facilitating career pathways and execution of strategic CD projects as needed.

 

The CD Specialist will also work closely with members of the Consulting Team (CT) and broader BCG HR team across ANZ, Asia Pacific (AP) and globally to deliver an excellent CD experience for the ANZ Consulting team.

 

Supporting the Career Development process for your respective Consulting cohorts including:

Building close working relationships with the CD Committee (CDC) Chairs and CD Advisors (CDAs)Owning downward and upward feedback processes (generate evaluations and monitor the completion of case reviews and upward feedback, including adherence to grading calibration principles, and make recommendations to CD Senior Manager and CDC Chairs to improve completion timeliness rates)Coordinating the due diligence process and the CDC meeting preparation, including preparing cohort pipelines, dossiers, agenda, slide decks, reports and all related materials relevant to your cohorts Leading the feedback reminder process including monthly reporting and communication, owning metrics and analytics related to feedbackAttending all CDC meetings ensuring CDA attendance, agenda management, minute taking and preparation of all post-meeting relevant materials and processes against agreed timelinesIn collaboration with the wider CD Team, develop and set annual calendar for respective ANZ CD Committee meetings, coordinating with regional and Executive Committee calendars with particular consideration to promotion schedules/deadlines and applications for global programsCollaborating with Learning & Development and Staffing & Mobility teams to ensure individual CDC recommendations are actioned and followed throughSupport the wider CD Team with CDA onboarding, new starter training on CD processes, and other CD related and CDA engagement sessions conducted throughout the year Prepare promotion letters in collaboration with our HR Shared Services team, gifts, and timely communication, along with related administrative tasks Preparation of local promotion announcements and collaboration with office counterparts to ensure appropriate information flowMaintain accurate records in Workday and other reporting and analytics for monthly, quarterly or year-end processes

 

Supporting annual Consulting Team year-end bonus process including:

Collaborating with the wider CD team to set the annual bonus calendar and schedule key meetings Collecting accurate inputs and developing bonus process materials for key stakeholder meetingsPreparing data and related input for production of bonus letters


Managing other CD specific responsibilities including:

Overseeing CDA/Advisee pairings, reassignments, and related communications Collaborate with CD Senior Manager on developing, documenting, and establishing new policies, approaches, and points of viewWorking closely with the CD Senior Manager and Women@BCG MDP Sponsor to run the Business Partner Program, focused on supporting the success and retention of our senior consulting women Liaise with AP region on key issues (data requests, policy inquiries, etc) and participate in regional CDC forums as relevant Oversee maintenance of Workday and CD Microsite, keeping individual profiles, metrics and key CD related materials and employee resources up-to-dateConduct ad hoc analysis and reporting

What You'll Bring

A tertiary level qualification in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience Experience with performance management or related in a professional services firm is strongly preferredStrong skills in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Experience in database maintenance, analytics and deriving insights from dataExcellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to plan ahead, multi-task, and strong attention to detail and accuracyProactive self-starter who takes initiative and thinks beyond the task to the outcome we want to achieve and any resulting precedentsHigh degree of self-responsibility, comfortable taking ownership of major end-to-end processes and events and escalating where requiredAbility to investigate information from a variety of sources; to analyse, interpret, and summarise data gathered, and to prepare presentation resultsStrong interpersonal and relationship building skills, comfortable engaging with internal stakeholders across all levels of the organisationStrong communication skills: clarity, tact, professionalism and consensus building skills – in verbal and written communications, and presenting in a clear and engaging manner to larger audiencesBusiness and service orientation, flexible, collaborative team player
