Call (must live within 30 minutes of hospital for call), weekend and holiday requirements. Department highlights: * Fast-Paced, high-volume department * Team oriented department Here's What You Need: Education: Associate Degree in Applied Science required or Completion of an accredited program in cardiovascular technology (Must obtain RCIS within six (6) months) required or High school diploma or equivalent with two (2) years' work experience in invasive cardiology required Experience: * One (1) year vascular or cardiac angiography experience preferred or * Two (2) years' experience with high school diploma required * Two (2) years Cath Lab experience strongly preferred Licensure and Certifications: ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire required and GMRT-General Medical Radiologic Technologist (if ARRT only) upon hire preferred or RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Obtain within 6 months if graduate from Cardiovascular Accredited Program) upon hire required and LMRT - Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (if RCIS only) upon hire preferred or RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (For Electrophysiology Labs (EP) only) upon hire required and BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required and ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) required What you will do Texas Health Interventional Radiology Technologists are responsible for assessing and recognizing the patient's emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.
