Effectively assist physicians in performing a variety of highly specialized Cardiovascular procedures including, but not limited to, diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump operation (IABP), and electrophysiology studies.
Job Requirements

High school diploma/GED, requiredA graduate of a diploma, associate or baccalaureate academic program in health science or graduate of a programmatically accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology. FOR UTAH ONLY - Associates degree is NOT required. Experience in invasive cardiovascular technology, preferredCardiac diagnostic/interventional procedural experience, preferredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association, requiredMust obtain within 18 months: RCIS through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Or RCES, Or ARRT with post primary certification of CardiacInterventional Radiography through the ARRT.Colorado Surgical Assistant License upon hire unless performing Surgical Assistant duties within the scope of another active Colorado license, certification, or registration (required for Colorado employed staff only)Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hireWhere You'll WorkThe Cardiac Cath Lab at Holy Cross Hospital - West Valley is a patient-centered department focused on quality care and serving others. Our amazing team serves throughout the entire hospital and is motivated by patient experience, process improvement, and quality outcomes. We average 90 procedures per month including cardiac diagnostic, interventional procedures, interventional radiology procedures and nursing placed PICC lines. The team has specialized training in invasive monitoring, PICC line placement, cardiac atherectomy and debulking, and cardiac life-saving support with cardiac support devices and machines. We perform diagnostic procedures, restorative procedures, device implantation, and emergent procedures for STEMI. Our culture of teamwork, longevity of staff in the department, growing procedural volumes, the variety of procedures, and the reputation of the staff and department make us a very desirable team to join. We look for candidates that are eager to learn, patient centered, have good critical thinking skills, remain calm under pressure and love to serve others.
