Your new role

In this role, you will spearhead the formulation and implementation of Medical Affairs strategies related to the Cardiometabolic Diseases therapeutic area, guiding a team of expert Medical Advisors. Key responsibilities include:

 

Defining the vision, strategy, and objectives for the team in alignment with clinical gaps, medical needs, and brand strategies while overseeing the execution of Medical Affairs initiatives such as satellite symposia, advisory boards, and KOL engagement plans. Cultivating and maintaining relationships with key external experts and collaborating with the Field Medical Manager to ensure alignment on execution of field-based medical plans. Serving as the liaison with Regional and IO teams to ensure strategic coherence and compliance with local requirements, while staying current with the latest scientific developments in the therapeutic area. Enhancing team performance through effective resource management and coaching, including overseeing the performance management process and professional development initiatives.

 

 

Your skills & qualifications

We’re looking for a new Cardiometabolic Medical Manager who will enjoy working in a

high-paced, dynamic environment. You’ll bring with you:

 

Medical degree is a must, with at least 7 years of experience in medical affairs from pharmaceutical industries, including 1–2 years in a management role. Strong business and industry acumen with a track record of setting direction and strategy. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels. Proven networking capabilities with both internal teams and key external stakeholders. Experience working in international matrix organisations is a strong advantage.

Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and reporting to the Senior Medical and Clinical Director, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to advancing patient care in the metabolic diseases area. We aspire to launch innovative medications for patients who live with cardio-metabolic diseases. The department is committed to cultivating strong internal and external relationships, ensuring compliance with medical regulations, and positioning Novo Nordisk as a pioneer in treatment of cardio-metabolic diseases.
