**Description:**
The Nurse Manager of Cardiac Telemetry at MacNeal Hospital is responsible for the daily operations and clinical leadership of the Cardiac Telemetry Units. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality nursing care and fosters a positive patient experience through effective team management and departmental coordination.
The Nurse Manager oversees staffing, workflow optimization, and resource allocation to maintain operational efficiency. They serve as a mentor and leader to nursing staff, promoting professional development, accountability, and a culture of excellence. In collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, the Nurse Manager ensures compliance with regulatory standards and implements evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
Position responsibilities:
+ Operationalize the organization’s mission, philosophy, operating principles, model of care, and strategic plans/goals. a) Develop, implement and evaluate annual department goals and objectives in alignment with the mission, philosophy, operating principles, model of care and strategic plans/goals. b) Ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and professional standards impacting the clinical area.
+ Ensure staff knowledge and participation in quality improvement activities, including but not limited to The Joint Commission’s core measure projects, National Patient Safety Goals initiatives, and NDNQI goals; evidenced-based projects and research activities (as appropriate).
+ Ensure qualified staff to meet patient/family care needs.
+ Promoting the nursing process, by ensuring clinical competence and service orientation of staff through effective and diverse teams.
+ Ensure that operations, systems and processes are streamlined to provide seamless, ethical, efficient delivery of patient/family centered care.
+ Ensure that service expectation of internal and external customers and colleagues are met or exceeded.
+ Ensure capital, salary, and non-salary expense budgets correlate with patient care needs and ensure revenue is maximized.
+ Engage in and demonstrate self-development in clinical, professional, and managerial areas.
What's required:
+ Bachelor's degree in nursing. Master's degree preferred.
+ Bachelor's prepared candidates must complete MSN within 3-5 years of start date.
+ 1-2 years of previous job-related experience, 3-5 years preferred.
+ Managerial Experience: 1-2 years.
+ Basic Life Support (CPR).
+ Current Registered Nurse license State of Illinois.
+ Specialty certification in a clinical or functional area of nursing granted a national nursing organization is preferred.

Compensation:
$96,782- $159,702
_Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles._
