Description

SHIFT: 7 AM-5:30 PM / PRN 

LOCATION: EMORY DECATUR HOSPITAL

 

THIS POSITION PAYS AT A BASE RATE OF $43/HOUR

Performs moderate to complex, safe operation of Ultrasound equipment to ensure high quality for diagnostic scans. Performs, analyzes, and documents results of 2-D, M-Mode, and Doppler echocardiograms as ordered by a physician to identify possible cardiac disorders.Performs and interprets the significance of various diagnostic tests.Provides quality care to all patients having US scans and Echo guided procedures.May participate in complex procedures. Effectively communicates with patients, family and other health care team members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred graduate of an accredited program for Echocardiography and eligible for registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Cardiac Credentialing International. Must pass registry exam within one year of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.
