Ensures quality performance of echocardiography examinations adhering to the quality assurance/improvement program by departmental policy in accordance with Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) standards. Performs at a high technical level, a variety of cardiovascular ultrasound procedures on neonatal through gerontologic patients. Has the latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Assists physicians. Selects practical applications and technical factors. Is knowledgeable in and carries out all applicable processes of the department. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures. Teaches and directs the work of other staff and students as required. Performs additional duties as requested. Performs, properly documents and reports all procedures in accordance with departmental policy and standards Manages time and equipment effectively and efficiently Works as a supportive team member to provide effective and efficient workflow Qualifications **The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:** Graduate of a two-year Cardiovascular Ultrasound program or registered in adult echocardiography Must have five (5) years experience in adult echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography and stress echocardiography **_OR_** Bachelor of Science degree in Echocardiography or Diagnostic Medical Sonography with two (2) years experience in adult echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography and stress echocardiography Pediatric echocardiography proficiency within 1 year of hire (if facility required) Knowledge and experience in advance structural heart procedures: TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman Registered in appropriate cardiac ultrasound modality; Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) **_OR_** Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
