**_PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center | Longview, WA_**
**_Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Day Shift| Sunday - Wednesday, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM_**
**_$45.37 – $68.44/hr. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc._**

We are currently seeking a dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Longview, Washington. In this role, you will use your clinical expertise and independent judgment to perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound examinations that support accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient care.

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Performs most appropriate examination based on patient information through consultation with interpreting physician and/or ordering physician as necessary.
+ Records test results, prepares accurate preliminary reports with information appropriate to their scope of practice, and updates patient records for interpreting physician.
+ Organizes daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties as required. May schedule and coordinate tests and prepare and maintain operational logs.
+ Maintains and calibrates equipment and order necessary supplies.
+ Prepares, supplies, and equips exam rooms to meet the needs of requested examinations and to meet specific physician requirements for procedures.
+ Uses independent judgment during exam to differentiate, within the scope of their licensure, between normal and pathological findings.
+ Integrates previous imaging studies, laboratory results, patient history, and medical records to optimize exam.
+ Tailors exam to individual patient and utilizes the most appropriate equipment settings to provide most diagnostic information for interpretation.
+ Performs other duties consistent with caregiver’s scope of practice, training, experience, and licensure/registration/certification.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Sonography program (or equivalent). Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound Technologist preferred.
+ Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) (or registry-eligible)
+ PACS/RIS knowledge required
+ BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) required at hire
+ Minimum of 1 year diagnostic ultrasound experience in a hospital facility preferred.
+ Experience in Vascular is preferred, but not required.
+ Ability to obtain ARDMS or CCI registration within one year if not already certified
+ PACS/RIS knowledge
