Reviews patient medical history and supporting clinical information to ensure the appropriate imaging techniques will be utilized. Functions independently with minimal supervision while using independent judgement to ensure that appropriate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are accurately captured in the echocardiographic examination images. Documents patient data and echo exam information utilizing the Echo Information Management System. Creates a complete and accurate preliminary report to assist Physicians in diagnosis of the patient condition and evaluation of symptoms. Collaborates with Advanced Cardiac Sonographers, Physicians, and other team members to assist in interpretation of echocardiographic findings. Possesses the ability to handle emergency situations with the aptitude to identify and triage clinical findings for appropriate intervention. Assists in the orientation and training of all levels of trainees assigned to the Echocardiography laboratory.
