You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. You will be part of a team that pulls together to provide a quality patient care experience. In this role: + You will provides direct and indirect patient care in MOB Recovery Department setting. + You will communicate with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. + You are able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. + You will have the ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes: adolescent to geriatric and the general patient population. + You will revise plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluates overall plan daily for effectiveness + You will consult other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient’s needs + You will demonstrate an ability to assist physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills. + You will identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and family; communicates with social service/discharge planner regarding both in hospital and post discharge needs Qualifications: + Current State of Utah or Compact Registered Nurse License. + American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 7 days of hire. + American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification.
