Job Details

ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a highly motivated and skilled Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in our Cardiovascular Critical Care Complex (Medical).

Responsibilities in the unit include admitting and managing multiple critically ill patients in collaboration with intensivists, fellows, and residents. The ideal candidate for this position is comfortable working in a high acuity, fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy. It is preferred that candidate have at least 1 year of critical care experience, but new graduates will be considered. Formal individualized onboarding and orientation will be provided. 

 

Schedule Opportunities include an 80 hour or 72-hour biweekly position on our Newark campus.

Available Shifts: Partial Nocturnist- 50% of shifts dedicated to nights(7p-7a) and the other 50% of shifts dedicated to days-position includes an off-shift premium   Weekendist- cover weekends 7a-7p, at least 2 weekends out of the month with day coverage during the week-position includes a weekend premium

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Physician Assistant must be a graduate of an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program and have NCCPA CertificationAdult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification requiredPreferred minimum of 1-year critical care experience, will consider new graduatesLicense or license eligible for the State of DelawarePrescriptive authority and controlled substance license for state of DelawareFederal DEAACLS certification
