CGI is seeking a highly strategic and detail-oriented Capture Manager to lead and manage the pursuit of new business opportunities. This role serves as a strategic driver, acting as the “quarterback” of sales pursuits, coordinating efforts across business development, delivery, and proposal development teams. The Capture Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive capture strategies to secure competitive bids, particularly within government and large enterprise markets.
This is a hybrid role, requiring two to three days per week from any of the CGI office.
• Lead qualified, strategic sales pursuits from initial proposal through award, with a focus on growing the ERP Business Unit.
• Collaborate closely with sector leadership, proposal managers, analysts, technical subject matter experts, and vendor partners to ensure a cohesive and effective pursuit strategy.
• Drive the capture process in alignment with CGI’s proposal management framework, including leadership review gates and coordination of cross-functional inputs.
• Monitor pursuit progress to ensure adherence to deadlines and quality standards; serve as the subject matter expert during internal reviews.
• Conduct market and competitive analyses to evaluate opportunities against CGI’s capabilities and differentiators.
• Understand client-specific needs, goals, and preferences through solicitation materials, public research, and internal/external insights.
• Assemble and lead a multidisciplinary pursuit team, including solution architects and proposal development resources.
• Define win themes and facilitate storyboarding and content development for proposals.
• Draft, review, and edit proposal content, including executive summaries and technical narratives.
• Lead preparation efforts for oral presentations and solution demonstrations
• Support final negotiation phases, including best and final offers, proposal clarifications, and revisions
• 7–10 years of experience in technology and/or consulting services organization.
• Proven expertise in Capture Management best practices and synthesizing complex information.
• Experience in public sector consulting, particularly with state and local governments.
• Background in technology or management consulting related to any ERP Applications, cloud modernization, application development, system integration.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growing the Government Solutions – Public Sector Practice.
• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience in proposal management and writing.
• Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience engaging with C-level executives and senior leadership.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and business acumen.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (MBA preferred).

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,300.00 - $169,700.00.
