This is a permanent, full-time, exempt-level position.

Position Overview

The Capital Project Performance Manager is responsible for leading the project oversight and tracking functions across North America capital projects.

The individual in this role ensures consistent application of cost control, budget management, change order governance, and performance metric tracking to support strategic decision-making and successful project delivery.

This role is critical to ensuring financial and operational alignment across capital projects. It requires close collaboration with Finance, Procurement, and Tax teams to maintain compliance and budget integrity.

Key Responsibilities
 Lead and manage a team of project analyst professionals across multiple capital projects while coaching and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growthOversee project cost performance reviews, variance analysis, and forecasting across assigned North America portfolioAlert leadership to areas of concern within project portfolio performance to support proactive decision-makingDevelop and maintain North America-wide budget and schedule performance tracking processes and toolsManage change order and contract change processes, ensuring compliance and traceabilityIntegrate project controls systems with financial, procurement, and reporting platformsEstablish and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for project KPIs (e.g., CPI, SPI, earned value)Support resource planning, utilization forecasting, and portfolio-level analysisCollaborate with project managers, finance, procurement, and executive leadership to align project performance with strategic goalsSupport continuous improvement in project controls methodologies and toolsEnsure adherence to corporate policies and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with Global Capital Projects Governance and Assurance to ensure adherence to policies and best practicesEvaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance project performance oversight
Required Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field7–10 years of experience in project controls or project management within capital-intensive industriesProven experience managing large-scale, complex capital projects or programsStrong understanding of project controls systemsExperience with change management processes and contract administrationProficiency in data analytics and dashboard/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Certifications
 PMP® (Project Management Professional) – Project Management InstituteCCP® (Certified Cost Professional) – AACE InternationalEVMP® (Earned Value Management Professional) – PM College or equivalentPgMP® (Program Management Professional) – PMI (for enterprise-level program oversight)Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt – For process improvement and efficiency initiatives
Travel Requirements
 Up to 10% travel may be required, depending on project locations and phasesTravel includes site visits, stakeholder meetings, and coordination with regional project teamsMust be able to travel domestically and potentially internationally as needed
