What the day will look like
This role would suit an individual who wants their coding skills to be at the forefront of their daily activities. It will encompass a wide variety of work and the successful applicant can expect to be involved with the following:
+ Working with the team and clients to gather business requirements, crafting and implementing capital modelling solutions for the (re)insurance market.
+ Working in a multi-disciplinary team to design, implement, and test capital modelling solutions for (re)insurers
+ Work closely with clients to gather business specifications for tailored model constructions and complete development assignments as the technical leader.
+ Supporting and training users of our systems
+ Supporting the sales process through proof of concept exercises and trials for Tyche and TCM

Skills and experience that will lead to success
+ Actuarial Expertise: Proven experience in general insurance actuarial work (capital modelling, pricing, or reserving), with at least three years in the field.
+ Technical and Analytical Capability: Strong coding skills (Python and SQL desirable) and ability to develop robust modelling solutions, combined with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Improvement In Execution and Innovation: Demonstrated curiosity and proactive approach to leveraging software for modelling challenges, including improving processes within teams or projects.
+ Collaborative and Resilient Attitude: Ability to work under pressure with adaptability and resolve, while being a self-motivated team player who builds positive relationships across diverse collaborators.
+ Advanced Modelling and Leadership (Desirable) Familiarity with stochastic modelling tools (e.g., Igloo or Tyche), understanding of statistical techniques, experience in predictive analytics, and capability to lead development projects or teams.
