Cancer Support Services Coordinator
Job Summary Infusion authorization/referral experience Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm(flexible) The support services coordinator must possess and demonstrate effective application of relationship building, decision making, execution, and accountability. The support services coordinator must also provide extensive coordination of GI patients referred to the NHCC by GI physician partners and other affiliated physician champions. The coordinator must demonstrate ongoing program development to include educational materials, meeting patient, and family needs, and maintain customer satisfaction that makes the Novant Health experience remarkable. Qualifications + Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. + Experience: Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in scheduling, patient access, registration, or related experience in a medical environment. Prefer oncology and/or radiology related experience. + Additional Skills (required): + Medical Terminology + Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively convey complex medical information to clinicians and other stakeholders. + Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. + Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with electronic medical records, MS Office, videoconference tools (Zoom, MS Teams) and presentation software. Ability to work with a computer with dual monitors and web cam. + Collaboration Skills: Capacity to work effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals including oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and nurses. + Additional Skills (preferred): + Medical Knowledge: Strong understanding of cancer diagnosis, staging and treatment options. + Technical Proficiency: Experience with Sharepoint, Epic/Care Everywhere, EEDS education portal, Radiology File Transfer software (Visage/Powershare) + Job Opening ID 66436
