The American Express business has two core types of customers. The Card Members that use our cards to make purchases, and the businesses that accept them. In Global Merchant & Network Services, we primarily focus on the businesses that accept our cards. We bring together the businesses that manage and evolve the company’s relationships with the millions of merchants around the world that accept American Express, as well as the team that runs the company’s payment network and manages bank partnerships globally. We are expanding global acceptance of our cards, driving greater usage of our network, leveraging our modern capabilities to capture broader revenue streams, and driving innovation both in-house and with partners. This internship experience will offer you the opportunity to be part of an innovative and passionate team focused on making American Express an indispensable payments partner to our merchants, delivering differentiated products and services and driving revenue growth for both merchants and American Express. Launched in 2012, Amex Offers is a digital advertising platform that connects Merchants and brands with the tens of millions of American Express Card Members across the globe. The Amex Offers team develops strategic marketing partnerships that deliver unique differentiated value for Merchants and Advertisers to reach these high-spending Card Members in the digital channels where they engage with American Express, delivering deep insights and maximizing results. Through this complete marketing solution, we can help advertisers get laser-focused on who our mutual customers are, what they want, and how we can meet their needs.
The intern will be joining the Amex Offers Global Center of Excellence (COE), which provides centralized and dedicated support across Strategy, Capability, and Operations enabling teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic analysis, market research, and project management. You will contribute to key business decisions and gain insight into the strategic processes of a dynamic organization.
Analyze internal and external data and realize growth opportunities to help businesses improve performance and drive growth. Conduct research on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform strategic marketing decisions. Analyze performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Assist in the creation of marketing strategies and plans, including segmentation, targeting, and positioning strategies. Develop reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and strategic insights to stakeholders. Develop relationships with a variety of internal and external partners. Share and leverage standard processes and provide consultancy to team. Lead end-to-end marketing initiatives or other customer-focused initiatives; develop and implement tests to measure efficiency. Find innovative ways to improve the Amex Offers experience and performance.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree candidates with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
Preferred Qualifications

Ability to conceptualize and sell ideas
Independent thinker who’s organized, has phenomenal attention to detail, and can multi-task
Strong analytical, problem-solving/quantitative skills

Salary Range: $24.05 to $63.00 hourly + sign-on bonus
