Business Unit / Role Specific Information:
Our full-time Graduate Programme is a two-year rotational program designed to attract and develop diverse talent. Each Graduate will spend 8 months across three diverse areas, such as Consumer, Merchant and Commercial business. As an American Express Graduate, you will work with your business unit and leaders to solve some of our most crucial business projects aligned to the company’s strategic, operational and financial goals. Throughout the programme you will develop a variety of essential business skills, whilst also building a deep understanding of the Payments industry on a Global scale.
Feeling the pace of the payment sector, you will have the opportunity to challenge yourself across a variety of areas, deliver value to our business and merchants and learn about our award-winning culture and network across our diverse business units and regions.

The 24-month programme will automatically convert in a full-time position at American Express Germany.

What skills will you need?
Successfully completed/completing a master's degree in 2026 in business or similar
First work experience in Sales, Business Development and/or Marketing
Very good written and spoken German and English skills - C1 level
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Interest in improving processes and various problem-solving approaches
High level of self-motivation and the ability to lead and bring others along
Excellent communication skills and solution-oriented action
Analytical skills with an interest in quantitative and qualitative analysis
Good project management skills and presentation techniques
Team player with initiative
