**Campus Security Supervisor – Full Time – Ankeny, IA** _Former Military / Law Enforcement Encouraged To Apply!!_ **Wage:** $35.00/HR The Campus Security Supervisor serves as the day-to-day Supervisor of a campus security team that includes 5 campuses in the Des Moines Metro area. The Campus Security Supervisor works alongside other security team members to ensure a safe and secure environment. **Essential Functions:** + Patrol campus by foot patrol, vehicle patrol, bike patrol, and maintain stationary posts. + De-escalate major and minor conflicts on campus. + Work with state and federal law enforcement during major and minor events. + Work events and use crowd control measures, as needed. + Respond to medical emergencies, disturbances, vehicle accidents and other events on campus. + Respond to panic alarms, assaults, and armed intruders on the campus. + Conduct lighting and other safety/security inspections of the campus. + Conduct scan patrols of fixed locations. + Arming/unarming, locking, and unlocking of buildings. + Escort students, staff, and visitors, as requested. + Monitor camera systems. + Maintain basic preventative maintenance checks for the security vehicles. + Able to direct traffic and monitor parking lots. + Complete vehicle jump starts and vehicle unlocks. **What We Offer:** + Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, & Disability Insurance, Plus 401K Options. + Virtual Medical Appointments With Telemedicine. + Paid Time Off, Free Uniforms, Paid Training. & Weekly Pay! + **DailyPay Access Program NOW Available!!!** + Employee Referral Program & Employee Assistance Program. + Discounts On Childcare, Pet Daycare, Vehicles, Electronics, Cell Phone Plans, Travel & So Much More! **Position Requirements:** + 18 years of age or older. + High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months. + Associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or commensurate work experience in Safety, Security, Military or Law Enforcement needed. + Standard computer / technology skills needed. + Experience with Microsoft Office needed. + Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner. + All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. + 5+ years of experience in security/military/law enforcement industry with leadership responsibilities needed. + Experience with maintaining weekly security team schedule needed. + Must have a reliable means of communication, such as cell phone. + Must have a reliable means of transportation. + Must hold or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license or equivalent. + Must have the ability to obtain a security license with the Iowa Department of Public Safety + Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently. **Special Requirements:** + Able to work evening or weekend hours when required, such as during an emergency event or crisis. **Competencies:** + Highly motivated, energetic, self-directed individual with analytical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. + Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, students and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations. + Ability to adapt to new and changing environments. + Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills. + High attention to detail. + Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures. + Strong customer service.
