AMEX is seeking an HR Intern in our Rome office.  

We are searching for a student interested in managing employee relations, union relations, and handling labor law-related matters (employment relationship, policy updates, disciplinary cases, etc), who would like to work alongside our HR Team. This is a paid internship opportunity that will provide the intern with an excellent, hands-on introduction to a thriving, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment. Key Projects: 

An intern will be offered an opportunity to be involved in meaningful work and projects, be exposed to daily HR functions, professionals, and business leaders. The intern will be introduced to useful tools and resources that will help the intern grow both professionally and personally.  

Projects would include:  

Supporting the Colleague & Labor Relations (CLR) team in delivering our core and strategic goals (e.g. case management, reengineering, data integrity and social partner relationships, performance management), making sure all labor matters are promptly addressed and managed delivering a great providing the best support to our people leaders and colleagues. This can include addressing performance cases, disciplinary infractions, data analysis from a wide range of HR systems to influence local business decisions in labor-related matters.  

The intern will gain experience in the following areas:  

Support the CLR team in daily case-management tasks  Support the CLR team in keeping effective and productive contacts with our social partners Support the ongoing review and update of Amex internal policies based on the Italian labor regulation Support the CLR team in cross-HR initiatives, projects and daily activities Analyze relevant workforce-related data to foster the implementation of data-driven CLR initiatives 

Skills & Experience Required:  

Graduate students and recent college graduates in Law  Attention to details and organizational skills Fluent Italian and English speaker, both written and oral Good knowledge of Office tools (including Excel and PPT) Good communication skills Strong attitude to team working and collaboration Strong motivation to prove oneself in a complex multinational organization Curiosity and attitude to think out of the box
