Description We are looking for a compassionate and meticulous Call Center Specialist to join our team on a Contract to Permanent basis in Springfield, Vermont. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking assistance, helping them connect with vital resources and services. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, and a commitment to providing excellent support to clients. Responsibilities: • Respond to incoming calls and connect individuals to the appropriate programs or services. • Assist clients with completing applications for housing, food, or fuel assistance. • Communicate empathetically with individuals who may be in crisis or facing challenging circumstances. • Accurately input and manage client data within internal systems. • Collaborate with caseworkers and program staff to ensure timely and effective client support. • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, documentation, and follow-up communications. • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the organization’s values of dignity and respect for all clients. • Provide clear and precise communication while addressing client concerns and inquiries. Requirements • Experience in a call center or customer service role, particularly in an inbound setting. • Proficiency in basic office skills, including data entry and documentation. • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey empathy and professionalism. • Familiarity with assisting individuals in crisis or hardship situations is preferred. • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and support case management efforts. • High level of attention to detail and accuracy when managing client information. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to organizational standards.
