This position will assist the Director of Regional Compliance in the implementation and execution of programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards in California. Collaborate with internal business teams as needed to resolve identified opportunities and assist with tasks associated with state licensing and record-keeping/reporting. Complete training during in-store visits and course curriculum for state specific licensing needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Implement and support the compliance strategy and policy, driving a culture of compliance in California. Serve as an internal subject matter expert and provide training to store Team Members on compliance matters such as: pricing, signage, hazardous waste, human relations, and licensing as required by the state. Collaborate with appropriate internal partners (e.g., Store Managers, District Managers, et al.) to provide required information. Partner to investigate accidents/incidents and implement corrective measures as needed. Manage execution of process changes and appropriate signage to support California pricing law. Facilitate programs to support a productive work environment and provide feedback when store culture is not at standard. Support compliance curriculum by assisting with study/test preparation scheduling, setup and administration of training programs for state licensing. Provide feedback and oversight on collection, treatment, storage and disposal of hazardous waste, ensuring safe manner, legal compliance and environmental protection. Partner to conduct compliance visits in California and provide feedback to store teams to ensure compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, regulations and standards. Drive and influence compliance activities of stores teams including leadership, store management and/or individual contributors. Encourage appropriate compliance behavior and culture by effective communication and dissemination of compliance strategy, policy, and processes.Required Qualifications
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant Tractor Supply Company operational experience at Exempt or Non-Exempt level
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications: Certified Compliance and Ethics and Professional preferred but not required
