Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

**We are searching for the best talent for the Calibration Technician position to be in Leeds, UK.**
**As part of the Calibration Team,** the calibration technician will support the day‑to‑day execution of the calibration schedule and laboratory activities. You will perform internal calibrations, support external calibration activities (on‑ and off‑site), maintain calibration records, assist with audits, raise purchase orders, and help ensure equipment readiness and regulatory compliance.
**As a Calibration Technician, you will:**
+ Perform internal calibrations and testing according to schedule and procedures to minimise equipment and process downtime.
+ Maintain the Calibration Laboratory to required HSE and GMP standards for cleanliness, organisation and audit readiness.
+ Control and monitor access to the Calibration area and support safe, correct use of equipment and gauging by non‑QC personnel.
+ Update and maintain the calibration database so it accurately reflects the status and traceability of all gauging and equipment.
+ Review, scan and file calibration certificates into the database and maintain retrievable hardcopy records.
+ Support and coordinate external calibration service providers when required (on‑site and off‑site).
+ Provide notifications for items due/overdue, items failing or close to tolerance limits, and report damaged items.
+ Organise ad‑hoc calibrations for equipment breakdowns, process investigations or introduction of new equipment/processes.
+ Assist with calibration support for equipment moves and installations.
+ Raise calibration non‑conformances and provide technical input to investigations and dispositions.
+ Maintain inventory of legacy and spare equipment available for Quality and Manufacturing.
+ Provide calibration data and assist in compiling process metrics.
+ Assist in establishing calibration and test methods for new/existing equipment.
+ Accurately complete work order requests within the CMMS system (Maximo).
+ Identify and support implementation of calibration process improvements.
+ Assist in internal and external audits by preparing documentation, supporting auditor requests, and ensuring calibration records and traceability are available.
+ Raise purchase orders (POs) for calibration services, spare parts and equipment; liaise with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
+ Follow and promote all Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
+ Minimum 5 years’ experience working in same or similar role.
+ Familiarity with CMMS systems (Maximo) and calibration/gauging equipment.
+ Experience working in a GMP‑regulated environment.
+ Practical knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements and related standards, with an understanding of their practical application.
+ Computer literate and comfortable in a Windows environment.
+ Good attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.
+ Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
+ Experience or comfort with supporting audits and compiling audit evidence.
+ Experience raising purchase orders or working with procurement systems is desirable.
+ Flexible, proactive and responsible with a strong safety mindset.
