Responsibilities / Duties:
Develops and implements testing, sampling and inspection procedures on raw materials, equipment, in-process materials, and/or finished products to ensure that product specifications and company and regulatory requirements are met. Investigates and troubleshoots functionality and performance problems. Recommends corrective action when appropriate. May monitor and execute on-site equipment and tools calibration.Performs routine calibrations utilizing various instruments and master gages.Prepares calibration certificates and other reports of instrument performance.Reviews and approves vendor-supplied calibration certificates for accuracy.Prepares standard test procedures related to the in-house calibration of instruments.Generates uncertainty budgets for various measurement parameters.Consults with other departments within the company regarding instrument needs, usage and calibration schedules.Maintains NIST-traceable standards and measuring equipment utilized for calibrations.Uses the computer and related software to record information and communicate with other departments within the company.Performs other duties as assignedJob Requirements:
GED, or equivalent education.
5+ years of relevant work experience
Basic understanding of metrology and calibration systems; as well as of QSR's and ISO.
Basic understanding of mathematics (additional, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions).
Able to read and comprehend blueprints, policies and procedures.
Able to perform basic measurements using a coordinate measuring machine.
Basic computer skills.
Collaboration

Able to handle multiple projects/tasks that will present challenges in time management, while adding complexity in meeting objectives and goals.
Able to lift 25 pounds (infrequent basis).
