Job Description
Purpose:
Perform Calibration of field instruments and devices on time and in compliance to procedures to ensure their uninterrupted availability to support operationsAssist in troubleshooting and correction of instruments in response to an analysis of maintenance trendsDevelop strong expertise in at least two types of instruments used in Abbvie Singapore facility.Execute calibration work to Job Plans and enter results and data in the Computerized Maintenance Management System.Assist in analysis of trends and identify issues and improvement opportunities proactivelyResponsibilities:
Report to the Calibration Leader / Metrology ManagerExecute Calibration work orders, follow Standard Operating Procedures & instructions, apply LOTO and perform Calibration work according to Job plans and SOPs / Work InstructionsPerform calibration and troubleshooting works per schedule and ensure calibration is completed on timeFlag to attention to the Supervisor / Manager any non-compliance issues including delayed calibration or duplicate calibration stickersEnsure that all the relevant procedures (SOP) including Technical Training are updatedUpkeep and preserve Calibration referencesTroubleshoot and act as the first line of defense for any issues that may come up in Field instruments or devicesMaintain a high level of EHS and cGMP compliance during Calibration activitiesCoordinates with external contractors for specialized Calibration workProvide feedback on Calibration issues and trends associated with failures and root causesActively participate in implementation of CAPAs. troubleshooting, plant and equipment improvementsPerform shift or be available on-call when required & to support ongoing operationsAny other duties as assigned by Supervisor/ManagerQualifications
Diploma/NITEC or vocational certificate in relevant discipline (mechanical / electrical / chemical)Diploma graduate, or 4 years of relevant hands-on maintenance experienceExperience in chemical / pharmaceutical / biotech facilities or knowledge of cGMP is a plus though not mandatoryExcellent attitude towards work and keen willingness to learnAbility to read PID drawing, Instrument loop drawing and LV Electrical/instrument panel drawing.Willingness to perform “hands-on” workExcellent team player willing to work for the common goal
