Your Role: The Calibration Supervisor ensures strict compliance with national and international quality regulations, regulatory authority requirements for export markets, industry standards, and the company’s internal quality policies applicable to calibration operations. This role directly contributes to plant productivity by ensuring timely product deliveries that meet customer demand. The supervisor leads and oversees the technical calibration team to execute the monthly calibration schedule for all plant instruments. Responsibilities include maintaining organized and audit-ready documentation, including calibration certificates from approved external laboratories.
The role manages the entire calibration lifecycle through SAP PM (CMMS), including inventory control of instruments, calibration routines, frequency settings, individual calibration plans, and technical order closures. They generate and manage the annual calibration program, approved by Quality, Production Planning, and EHS, ensuring compliance with documented procedures and regulatory standards. Monthly calibration orders are issued in coordination with area leads, and corrective maintenance notifications are approved and monitored. The supervisor produces monthly compliance reports and manages service requisitions and purchases, aligned with internal procurement policies.
Additionally, the Calibration Supervisor proposes, implements, and monitors process improvements and operational excellence initiatives. They actively participate in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) programs, complying with applicable safety regulations including LOTO, confined space work, electrical work, and lone-worker authorizations. Finally, the role is responsible for managing and controlling the assigned budget in adherence to corporate financial policies, ensuring alignment with the company's standards for governance and business ethics, and requieres minum 2 years of experience in similar roles.
Who you are
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation and Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge and Areas of Expertise: Proven experience developing and implementing instrument calibration plans in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Strong knowledge of calibration standards and procedures for mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, analytical, and electronic measurement instruments, General understanding of metrology, the International System of Units (SI), unit conversions, and measurement principles, Participation in GMP compliance audits, Familiarity with GMP standards as applied to Maintenance operations. EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Compliance: Knowledge of safety regulations from the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) related to machinery and equipment, Understanding and use of work permits for high-risk activities, including work at heights, in confined spaces, and involving cutting and welding, Experience in performing risk analyses for personnel and facilities.
Certifications, Licenses, or Permits: Proficient in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) such as SAP, Maximo, Datastream, or PM, Background in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing, Desirable certification: Yellow Belt or equivalent, demonstrating knowledge of continuous improvement tools, problem solving, and root cause analysis (RCA).
Computer Skills: Intermediate level in Microsoft Word: capable of creating documents with technical formatting, text/image integration, paragraph structuring, and reference management, Intermediate level in Excel: ability to generate reports with charts and pivot tables, Intermediate level in PowerPoint: creation of presentations including text, images, animations, and audio, Ability to use tools for block diagrams, schematic diagrams, and process diagrams.
