Our Ottawa Manufacturing team is looking for a CAL Tech to join our team!

$21.10 per hour

$1.25 per hour shift premium. 

Tus responsabilidades incluirán Capable of identifying BIR products that fail to meet quality expectations -   through visual and/or testing inspection and disposal according to the established processSupport improvement activities for quality, delivery, cost, and safety as well as continuous improvement through KaizenMust be able to communicate and receive communications regarding safety components and job instructionData collection and failure mode root cause analysis of defective unitsLiaise with other departments/functions as required to drive change and implement containment and/or corrective actions to mitigate quality defectsWork on a moving/conveyor style production line or stabilized workstationEnsures that the workstation is kept in a clean and safe condition.Participate and engage fully in training experiences Follow all company policies and proceduresSupport in recognizing and defining problems, collecting data, and developing conclusionsUtilities may be asked to work outside their designated departmentStack, lift (floor to overhead) and carry up to 40 pounds if requiredOther tasks as neededRequerimientos mínimos Consistently demonstrates the Whirlpool ValuesStrong computer skills including data analysis and chart creationOrganizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal)Must be self-motivated and able to lead programs and/or projects independently  Willingness to be hands onProven ability to plan, organize, prioritize issues and tasksHave a strong desire for personal and professional developmentMust be able to identify problems, analyze root cause and implement solutions that address the root-cause and minimize business riskOutstanding problem solving skillsCustomer focused, team-oriented, and able to drive sustainable business solutionsMust be willing and able to work overtime and have the flexibility to work any shiftHabilidades y experiencia deseable 2+ year engineering/manufacturing experienceWCM (World Class Manufacturing) tool usage and knowledgeDrafting software (Google Workspace)Blueprint readingQue ofrecemos Up to 40+ hours of paid trainingUp to 120 hours of paid time off (prorated based on start date)Medical, dental, vision, 401k and other benefits available immediatelyWe offer manufacturing careersTuition reimbursementApprenticeships
