Cadet Drafter - QLD

Our QLD Water team is looking for 2 Cadet Drafters (1 x Civil and 1 Structural / Mechanical), where you will work with experienced engineers, designers and drafters to deliver dynamic drafting solutions in a variety of water engineering projects.

As a Cadet Drafter, you will work on water-based projects and–

Learn all facets of CAD, drafting and design techniques and gain skills in relevant computer programs.Work under the guidance of our Engineers and Designers on engineering projects; andProvide accurate and efficient drafting services for the Business Unit in accordance with project times and budgets, with detailed supervision.

Qualifications

Completed your QCE (or equivalent), with strong academic performance in Mathematics, Engineering, and English, or currently enrolled in one of the following: 

Diploma of Engineering – Technical, 

Advanced Diploma of Engineering or 

Associate Degree in Civil Engineering 

Limited experience or a keen interest in drafting and design in the civil and structural space An ability to gain and apply knowledge of engineering drawing techniques and CAD packages Intermediate skills in MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel) Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment  An ability to problem solve and manage your time effectively
