CAD Draftsman – Contract-to-Hire Location: Lenexa, KS Schedule: Onsite 4 days per week, 1 day remote Interview Process: Two rounds, including one onsite interview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CAD Draftsman to join our team in a contract-to-hire capacity. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality technical drawings and transforming design concepts into complete project schematics. The Draftsman will work closely with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to ensure all drawings are precise, compliant with applicable standards, and delivered on schedule. Qualifications + Associate’s degree or technical certificate in drafting, design, or a related field + Proven professional experience as a draftsman + Minimum of 5 years of electrical drafting and design experience + Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit (BIM experience is a plus) + Strong understanding of architectural and engineering principles + Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications + Familiarity with industry regulations and building codes + Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail + Solid mathematical and analytical abilities + Effective written and verbal communication skills + Strong time management and follow-through Responsibilities + Develop and integrate electrical conceptual drawings into complete project documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software + Collaborate with engineers and architects to gather design specifications, calculations, and project requirements + Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project managers and design teams + Ensure all drawings comply with applicable standards, codes, and regulatory requirements + Maintain accurate and organized documentation for all project drawings and records + Assist with preparation of material lists and project cost estimates + Conduct occasional site visits to verify measurements and collect design data + Uphold high standards of quality, professionalism, and teamwork in all aspects of work #M1 #LI- #DI- Ref: #431-IT Tampa System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, CM Access, TPGS, and MOUNTAIN, LTD., are leaders in delivering workforce solutions and integrated services across North America.
