Job Description

Shape the Future of Infrastructure as a CAD Designer

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed CAD drawings as well as 2D and 3D models for bridge structures and related civil components using OpenRoads, OpenBridge, AutoCAD and Civil 3D.Assist in the design and drafting of structural plans, sections, and details for transportation structures including highway and pedestrian bridges, drainage structures, and miscellaneous transportation structures.Collaborate with engineers to interpret design concepts and translate them into construction-ready drawings.Support revisions and redlines based on engineering feedback and project requirements.Maintain organized drawing sets and adhere to company and DOT standards.

Qualifications

 Minimum:

BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred:

Associate degree in Drafting & Design Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related fieldor Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplineCompletion of a recognized CAD certification programProficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation is a plusBasic understanding of structural and civil engineering principlesProficiency in following  design standardsEffective communication and teamwork skillsInternship or academic project experience in bridge or transportation designFamiliarity with FDOT standards and proceduresExposure to structural detailing or BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Tekla)

The selected candidate must be available to work in the Tampa, FL office on a scheduled basis.
