CAD Designer

Summary: Seeking an experienced CAD Designer/Drafter with proficiency in SolidWorks to develop detailed production drawings and support engineering processes.

Requirements:

AAS Degree or equivalent experience in a related field

Minimum 2 years of experience with 3D Solid Modeling software, preference for Solidworks proficiency

Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

Knowledge of CAD/CAM equipment and its relation to manufacturing processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities:

Prepare routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams using CAD equipment

Ensure all technical drawings are detailed with necessary views and dimensions for manufacturing

Maintain updated drawing database and manage revisions

Collaborate with engineers or supervisors when complex problems arise

Utilize SolidWorks CAD for design development and revision of production drawings

Compute angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages and hole locations for machine designs

Draft detailed multi-view drawings of machinery and products from sketches or descriptions

Convert existing production drawings to SolidWorks format as needed

Generate bill of materials for the Purchasing Department to aid in procurement processes

 

 

 

 



Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
