Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled CAD Design Engineer to support capital projects at a pharmaceutical facility. This hybrid role combines hands-on AutoCAD drafting with project coordination, cross-functional collaboration, and project management responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who thrives in a dynamic environment and can manage design logistics and project workflows across multiple disciplines including electrical, utilities, piping, and architecture.
Responsibilities
Create, revise, and maintain detailed AutoCAD drawings for capital projects across the site.Ensure adherence to drawing standards and maintain documentation.Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.Lead and coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and drawing packages.Serve as the primary point of contact for engineering documentation and drawing logistics.Act as a liaison between engineering, operations, maintenance, and external vendors to ensure seamless communication and execution.Participate in project meetings and report on drawing and project status.Essential Skills
3+ years of experience in CAD drafting, project coordination, and/or project management.Proficiency in AutoCAD.Proficient understanding of drawings for electrical, mechanical, piping, architectural, and utility systems.Strong understanding in project coordination or engineering support, with exposure to project management practices.Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or industrial engineering environments.Understanding of capital project workflows, documentation control, and project lifecycle management.Familiarity with GMP, FDA, or other regulatory standards is a plus.Work Environment
This position is based in an office space at a pharmaceutical facility.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Sanford, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
