CAD/BIM Operator - Marine
Dubai, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented CAD/BIM Operator - Marine to join our team! In this role you will get to perform moderate to difficult design/drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques in the marine discipline.
What You'll Be Doing:
Utilizes a Civil CAD to prepare marine engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, marine quay walls, rock revetments, beach design and navigation channels etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
Becomes familiar with various standards and codes such as Euro code, and ASME.
Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
Understands how to read orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
A Degree or at least 2-Year Diploma in Civil Engineering , Civil Drafting or any relevant Design discipline from a recognized University.
More than 3 years of relevant experience ideally with marine experience.
PC literacy.
High level knowledge of Civil CAD and Civil 3D.
Experience with BIM.
Expert knowledge of other computer software used to complete drafting assignments.
