Cable Printer Technician

Position: Cable Printer Technician 

 

Reports To: Engineering Manager 

 

 

Position Description: 

Perform Preventive Maintenance, cleaning and routine performance checks 

Assist operators and Shift Process Technicians to verify print strings are in spec and troubleshoot printer problems 

Train and assist line operators to properly clean and operate printers 

Maintain and update operating documentation as needed 

Write maintenance work requests as needed  

Perform routine or emergency maintenance as needed 

Manage and maintain all production inkjet printers 

Manage and track ink inventory and usage throughout the plant 

Order ink when necessary 

 

Work hours & Conditions: 

This is a flex-40 hour/week position, typically Mon-Fri 

Routine overtime available 

Will occasionally be asked to adjust hours to periodically work a few hours at the beginning or end of night shift  

Working in a manufacturing plant environment 8 hours per day  

Expect approximately 3 weeks of training 

 

Job Requirements: 

High School diploma (preferred) or GED 

Any advanced technical training is a plus 

Comfortable learning automation  

Comfortable with computers 

Self-Starter 

Must be able to lift 30 lbs 

Expect to walk or stand for hours at a time 

Must be able to write and speak English
