Location: Ames & Des Moines, IA (with travel to surrounding states) Experience Level: Intermediate Travel: Required; per diem provided Overview: We are hiring 2 Installation Technicians and 8 Cable Technicians for ongoing projects in Iowa and nearby states. Candidates should have at least 6 months of low-voltage experience. Hands-on training or technical schooling will also be considered. Technicians will be responsible for installing data racks, Cat6 and COAX cables, faceplates, and labeling/testing connections. Additional tasks include setting up DirecTV cable boxes, modems, and satellite dishes, as well as building out server closets for network setups. Work will take place in both school and apartment buildings, indoors and outdoors. Some tasks may involve trenching and directional drilling. Key Responsibilities: + Install Cat5/Cat6 and COAX cabling + Perform punchdowns and cable terminations + Mount and label faceplates and network hardware + Set up wireless access points, CCTV systems, and security devices + Assist with server closet buildouts and network setups + Support installation of DirecTV systems and satellite equipment + Follow directions from project leads and adhere to safety protocols Required Skills: + Installation and cabling (Cat5, Cat6) + Punchdown and cable termination + Wireless access point setup + CCTV and security system installation + Low-voltage wiring and video systems Additional Qualifications: + Reliable and hardworking with strong attention to detail + Motivated to grow and advance in the field + Comfortable with physical tasks including climbing ladders and working outdoors Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
