Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cable Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling fiber optic cables and wire harnesses. You will work at your own station with the necessary tools to complete your daily tasks.
Responsibilities
Assemble and test the performance of all manufactured cables and sub-assemblies.Perform mechanical assembly of small equipment including alignment and assembly of component parts using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and fixtures.Interpret and work from electromechanical schematics, drawings, work instructions, and bills of material.Mount complex assembled components requiring manual dexterity and the ability to work with hand tools, light soldering equipment, volt meters, and other related test instrumentation.Connect component lead wires to printed circuits and route and connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.Position and align parts in specified relationships using jigs, fixtures, or other holding devices.Perform operations such as crimping, staking, screwing, bolting, riveting, welding, soldering, and cementing to join or secure parts.Use automated cable test equipment and multimeters.Inspect parts and perform basic tests, recording and documenting work on production records, logs, and other report forms.Route and lace cables, install components and parts such as switches on chassis, circuit boards, panels, and other units.Attach wires and connectors to form circuitry and connect assemblies to power supply sources, switch panels, or junction boxes.Attach hardware and seal assemblies.Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience in cable assembly.Proficiency in using various types of hand tools.Understanding of IPC-A-610 (Acceptance) and IPC-WHMA-A-650 (Cable and Wire Harness) standards.Experience performing through-hole and surface mount soldering.Ability to load programs on a computer to review drawings and blueprints for each specific cable build or sub-assembly.Experience working with wire gauges from 24 gauge to 00 wire gauge.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Working knowledge of IPC standards.Experience working under a microscope to complete soldering is a plus.Knowledge of completing rework on defective parts is advantageous.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will work a 9/80 schedule, with hours from Monday to Thursday, 7:15 AM to 4:45 PM, and every other Friday off. On the working Fridays, the hours are 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM. Opportunities for overtime may be available. As a small company, you will interact with individuals at all levels, from the president to engineers.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
