As a C5I Lead Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Product Director Army Watercraft Systems.
C5I Sustainment Lead Engineer, providing engineering support and recommendations on shipboard electronic systems.
Manages and trains program support senior and junior technicians.Provides technical oversight for the government contractors. Reports obsolescence status for ships systems, researches and provides recommendations and cost estimates to the CECOM C5I government management for retrofitting of ships systems to meet vessel mission requirements and for compliance to government regulations.Directs the generation of reports to the Product Director Army Watercraft Systems and Watercraft Inspection Branch organizations.Monitors the performance of US Army Watercraft Systems on Army watercraft vessels Worldwide.Develops Configuration Drawings in AutoCad and PDF formats. Leads retrofitting modernization installs on the vessels to modernize electronic/electrical systems. Installs, repairs and performs maintenance on US Army Watercraft System (AWS) Vessels’ Integrated Bridge Systems (IBS) Navigation Systems, Communication Systems and Global Marine Distress Safety Systems (GMDSS).Manages general maintenance tasks to build and maintain CECOM C5ISustainment on Army vessels, Maintenance Support Facility (Annex) at Joint Base Langly Fort Eustis. Integrated Lab and Training Faciality in Newport News Virginia.Designs, builds and coordinates the installation of foundations and cabling installation for modernization work. Coordinates special projects with the Vessel Support Organizations (VSO), in Hawaii, Fort Eustis and Japan.WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: Degree in Electronic Systems technologies (or 4 yrs experience in lieu of degree)Experience: 3+ years of related experienceSecurity clearance level: SecretExperience with Auto CADExperience Installing, repairing and performing maintenance on US Army Watercraft System (AWS) Vessels’ Integrated Bridge Systems (IBS) Navigation Systems, Communication Systems and Global Marine Distress Safety Systems (GMDSS).

The likely salary range for this position is $147,001 - $198,883. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
