C4I Technical Training Manager

We are seeking a skilled training supervisor to implement industry-leading training programs for our customers. As the training supervisor, you will be required to assess current training and development systems, develop new training programs, implement measurement tools, and provide feedback. You may also be required to conduct research to identify specific staff training needs. To be successful as a training supervisor, you should be proficient in learning theories and training methodologies and demonstrate superior teamwork abilities. Ultimately, a top-notch training supervisor is a motivated self-starter who can quickly assess the needs of the customer and design specialized training programs utilizing a diverse team of instructors and subject matter experts to fulfill challenging technical training requirements that enhance customer performance. The team provides formal in-house, on-site, and informal training to support end-user training needs, including user guides, source material, manuals, drawings, equipment lists, and warranty information. Curriculum is developed for all trainers and class participants, including quick reference guides, components manuals, and system warranty information. You will oversee and manage the curriculum development, ensure relevancy of course material to customers needs, schedule and coordinate with units for training, provide training, and maintain course records (e.g. student attendance). Periodic reviews of instructors and curriculum will be conducted to ensure relevancy of equipment used by the customer. Additionally, using the course critique sheets and instructor evaluation forms, delivery of training, course material, and curriculum modifications are accomplished to continue process improvements and course relevancy. The following duties are typical of the position: 1. Communicate with customers to determine training requirements and development of training support packages. Assess instructor effectiveness and determine the impact of training on end user skills and key performance indicators. 2. Provide general and direct supervision to plan, organize, and manage the work of the training team, set priorities, provide training to ensure that performance expectations and outcomes are met. 3. Market available training and providing the necessary information for each of the training courses offered. 4. Responsible for the coordination of training and tracking of training records. 5. Coordination of equipment repairs beyond operator maintenance. 6. Identify and assess training needs and establish training objectives and priorities. 7. Coordinate the development, modification, implementation, and evaluation of training programs. Ensure accuracy of research in the development of training content. 8. Develop and submit analytical briefs and/or reports. 9. Incorporate corrective action measures to support shortfalls identified in training. This position is in Chesapeake, VA, there is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in, or state willingness to relocate self, to the Chesapeake, VA area. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** Bachelor's Degree and at least 4 years of related experience or Associate Degree and at least 8 years of related experience Ability to demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, and problem-solving skills Proven work experience as a Training Supervisor, Curriculum Developer, Training Coordinator, Technical Instructor or similar roles Effective verbal and written communication skills at all levels within the company and the customer community Proficient with Adobe, including Acrobat DC Proficient with Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint Technical Military NEC/MOS Job code Military Instructor Course (NEC 9502 or equivalent) **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** Familiarity with US Special Operations Forces and DoD customer organizations Master Training Specialist certification or equivalent Proficient with Adobe, to include FrameMaker, Captivate, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator Proficient with Microsoft, to include Visio, Publisher, and Access Tactical and/or Shipboard radio (SATCOM, LOS, and HF) operations/maintenance experience COMSEC equipment operations/maintenance experience **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
