C3 Presents - Business Strategy & Insights Manager

Job Summary:

The Role: 

The Business Strategy & Insights Manager is responsible for using data to advise company leadership on various company initiatives, including food, beverage, and merchandise programs, new fan experiences, and new market entry for the C3 Presents portfolio of festivals and events. Primary responsibilities include preparing, compiling, and analyzing data, analyzing market trends, and recommending strategies based off this data.  The position requires working with multiple internal departments and third-party providers to ensure programs are executed successfully. 

We are looking for someone who is excited about major events, live entertainment, data, and technology to join the team.

What This Role Will Do:

Data Requirements, Collection, and Analysis

Identify and collect data from all necessary sources to support thorough analysis. Define and clearly communicate data needs to technical teams and vendors — including required dimensions, metrics, formulas, and levels of granularity — to ensure accurate and relevant data delivery. Collaborate on data cleaning and quality checks. Analyze datasets and deliver reports and presentations with clear, actionable insights. 

Trend Analysis

Identify patterns and trends to predict future sales and support informed decision-making.

Performance Measurement

Measure and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as revenue per capita, product mix, and profitability.

Revenue and Profitability Improvement

Develop and recommend strategies to increase revenue and improve profitability within various programs

Communicating and Reporting

Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to stakeholders, often through charts, reports, and slide presentations.
 

Operations

Support on-site festival operations as needed by: 

Participating in festival production meetings leading up to the eventAttending festivals as needed to monitor programsOther projects and duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

5+ years of analyst experience, preferably in investment banking, private equity, and/or corporate developmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions, including experience with:Market sizing (e.g., estimating total addressable market)Data analysis & modeling (e.g. cohort analysis, benchmark analysis)Financial modeling (e.g. scenario/sensitivity analysis)
 Ability to think strategically and develop plans for business growthCreativity and the ability to think outside the box to maximize revenue are essential attributes.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to create executive-level presentationsProficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systemsExperience in music/festivals, hospitality, and food/beverage, is a bonus but not requiredMust be detail-oriented and highly organized with demonstrated experience in managing multiple large-scale concurrent projectsProven ability to solve problems creatively while demonstrating a flexible, adaptable, and diplomatic approachExperience managing projects through the full life cycleProven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline Strong teamwork aptitude requiredMust have a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed for major event timelines and critical deadlines. Availability to travel three to five times a year and to work remotely from event sites
