Transdev Services is seeking a skilled and motivated C Mechanic to join our team. The C Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on transit vehicles, ensuring they are safe and reliable for service. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and excellence. Key Responsibilities: + Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks on transit vehicles. + Conduct minor repairs on vehicles, including replacing belts, hoses, filters, and other components. + Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues. + Follow established maintenance procedures and guidelines. + Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities. + Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. + Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to ensure efficient workflow. + Use appropriate tools and equipment safely and effectively. + Perform other related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent. + Basic mechanical knowledge and experience in vehicle maintenance. + Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. + Good communication and teamwork abilities. + Ability to follow instructions. Physical Requirements: + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. + Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling. + Exposure to various weather conditions and potential hazards in a maintenance shop environment.
