Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Field Service Representative to provide on-site C-17 company representation and technical support to the team in Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska in conjunction with the C-17 Globemaster Integrated Sustainment Partnership (G3) contract. 

You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.

Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements.

Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.

Position Responsibilities:

Assists Air Force customer perform troubleshooting procedures for multiple systems.Resolve maintenance and operational issues.Must be able to read schematics, drawings and use support and test equipment.Monitor product performance and make recommendations for resolution of potential issues.Analyze technical data and evaluate maintenance procedures.Develop and conduct ad hoc training.Provide field service representation and technical support to the customer and initiate corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction with company products and services.Utilize multi-discipline, technical expertise, and company knowledge to assist the customer to achieve and sustain a high level of proficiency in the operational and maintenance field.Understand customer expectations and assist the customer in interpreting and using support data and documents.Provide technical on-the-job training and act as the on-site liaison between the company and customer personnel of widely varying backgrounds to gain resolution of significant technical and operational issues.Work unsupervised for extended periods of time in a wide variety of environments.Develop excellent relationships across multiple organizations and with all levels of military customers to ensure customer satisfaction with products and services and provide technical liaison and operational product data to in-plant organizations.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting C-17A aircraft  Minimum 3 years knowledge/understanding of mechanical, environmental, avionics and flight control systems, and electrical/electronic systems  Must be able to function in a demanding on-call, around the clock operational environmentMust be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime including rotating shifts.At the sole discretion of leadership, employees must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs. Failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation. At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work.  Failure to relocate will be considered as a resignation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Prefer candidates with proven experience maintaining and troubleshooting C-17 aircraft mechanical, electrical/electronic, environmental, and avionics systemsPrefer previous military experience or extensive familiarity with military operations and written maintenance proceduresPrefer prior Field Service Representative experienceExperience with C-17 field or depot level maintenance is preferredProduction Superintendent Experience is desiredExtensive experience using maintenance data collection and analysis (FMxC2) is desiredExtensive knowledge using VECTOR and REDARSExtensive knowledge of C-17 Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) is desired

Summary pay range: $86,700 - $117,300.
