Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Global Services is seeking a C-17 Avionics Manufacturing Manager who will lead the Avionics Operations Team for the C17. Position is located in San Antonio, Texas.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options
Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts
Position Responsibilities:
This new leader should be experienced with large aircraft modifications and be proficient with electrical and all avionics associated Aircraft Systems and components.
Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
1+ years of experience with commercial and/or military aircraft avionics
3+ years of experience in leading teams and team development
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
3+ years of experience implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience in commercial or military airplane maintenance and /or modification
