We're seeking a C++ Software Developer/Engineer to join our automation platform development team in Brno. As part of this team, you will work on the data driven automation platform of the future in a startup like environment. We work in small agile teams that collaborate with other teams spread worldwide. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a passionate Software Engineer to work on a recently started project with modern technologies. You will shape the future of industrial automation as we are shifting from traditional monolithic automation pyramid towards a software-oriented architecture with software defined automation, industrial edge devices and virtualized services. Your task will be:Design, develop and maintain features of a future automation platform in a real-time system environmentAnalyze problems and locate bottlenecks and propose a range of viable solutions.Collaborate with other developers as needed to manage interdependencies of the project tasks, product and flow integration issues.Participating in reviews and/or inspections of designs, specifications, and code.Working with QA to meet the quality requirements needed for the products.Writing documentation and providing integration guidance.Contribute to team knowledge base and best practices
What we will appreciate from you:BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation or another related technical fieldExperience with Software development using C++17, CMake and GitExperience with unit testing using GUnit or Google Test FrameworkExperience in Linux (Debian based) operating system environmentsExperience with Agile development methods (knowledge of Jira is a plus)Experience with CI/CD pipelines in GitlabIndustrial automation background is preferredKnowledge of development for real-time environments is a plusDocker knowledge is a plusGood verbal and written English skillsGood communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and share your knowledge with othersFlexibility and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
