Summary: Seeking experienced C# Designers to develop embedded and desktop software for complex medical instruments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline (Master's degree preferred)
10+ years of experience developing software for complex instruments or devices with motion control and fluidics
Proficiency in designing and implementing C# .Net services for medical instrument activities
Familiarity with revision control systems and issue tracking systems
Experience in the software development lifecycle (Agile, Spiral) and object-oriented design methodology
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in Java and either C/C++ or C#
Design experience with hardware instrument/software interfaces including motion control
Knowledge of medical device regulatory standards (21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304, ISO 13485)
Experience with risk/hazard analysis within a regulated industry
Proficiency with configuration tools (CVS, SVN, Git), issue tracking (Mantis, Jira), requirements management (DOORS), code review tools (Code Collaborator, Crucible), and build tools
Technical leadership capabilities
Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
Designing and delivering robust software for medical instruments meeting regulatory standards
Collaborating on design tradeoffs to determine appropriate solutions
Creating and maintaining project documents such as development plans and detailed design documents
Participating in risk analysis and hazard analysis processes
Driving software requirements integration with system requirements alongside the team
Involvement in Software Change Control Boards to investigate and resolve defects
Employing best practices like unit testing, integration testing, static analysis, code reviews
Additional Skills:
SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), gRPC, Entity framework, Blazor and ASP .Net knowledge beneficial
Pay Details: $54.00 to $72.00 per hour
