**Introduction** Offering & Market Leadership * Own and lead IBM’s SAP BW Modernisation Offering, including value proposition, reference architectures, assets, accelerators, and delivery patterns. * Define and execute the engagement approach for SAP BW modernisation opportunities, from early advisory through to large-scale transformation programs. * Position IBM as a trusted advisor for clients navigating legacy BW to modern data platform transitions, including selective carve-outs, brownfield modernisation, and greenfield approaches. * Partner closely with SAP, hyperscalers, and ecosystem vendors to shape joint solutions and go-to-market strategies. Client & Engagement Leadership * Act as Executive Sponsor / Engagement Lead on complex SAP data and analytics programs. * Lead executive-level client conversations, shaping roadmaps, business cases, and investment decisions. * Translate business strategy and outcomes into actionable data and analytics architectures and delivery plans. * Provide governance, risk management, and quality assurance across SAP data engagements. Practice & Capability Developent * Build and mature SAP BW modernisation capability within the Business Data Cloud team. * Mentor and develop practitioners across SAP BW, Datasphere, and enterprise data platforms. * Contribute to talent strategy, including skills uplift, hiring priorities, and career pathways. * Drive innovation, IP development, and reuse across engagements. Commercial & Growth Accountability * Own pipeline development and revenue targets for SAP BW modernisation and SAP data services. * Support sales pursuits, proposals, and deal shaping, including estimation and commercials. * Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across IBM Consulting, Technology, and Software portfolios. **Your role and responsibilities** IBM Consulting is seeking an experienced leader in the data and analytics space with a particular focus on SAP BW Modernisation, acting as the offering and the go-to-market engagement lead within the SAP Practice. This role is pivotal in shaping IBM’s SAP data strategy for clients transitioning from legacy SAP BW landscapes to modern, cloud-native, and business-ready data platforms. The successful candidate will be accountable for defining the vision, value proposition, and execution model for SAP BW modernisation, including transitions to SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics, and hyperscaler-based data platforms. You will work closely with SAP, hyperscaler partners, and IBM’s broader Data & Analytics leadership to drive growth, client outcomes, and practice capability uplift. **Required technical and professional expertise** SAP & Data Platforms * Deep expertise in SAP BW, BW on HANA, and BW/4HANA architectures and migration approaches. * Strong experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and S/4HANA Embedded Analytics. * Experience integrating SAP data with enterprise data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift). * Understanding of SAP Business Data Cloud concepts and modern data product design. Modern Data & Analytics * Strong grounding in modern data architectures, including data lakes, lakehouse patterns, and data mesh principles. * Experience designing analytics solutions for reporting, advanced analytics, and AI/ML consumption. * Knowledge of data governance, security, lineage, and compliance in enterprise environments. Transformation & Delivery * Proven experience leading large-scale SAP data transformations and modernisation programs. * Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear executive-level messaging. **Preferred technical and professional experience** Required Experience * Significant consulting and delivery experience in SAP Data & Analytics. * Prior leadership at Senior Manager / Director / Associate Partner level or equivalent. * Demonstrated success owning offerings, driving revenue growth, and leading high-performing teams. * Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
